Overview of the EZ	Chu Lai Open Economic Zone On July 10, 1999, the Politburo issued Notice No. 232-TB / TW to select Chu Lai - Quang Nam region to build the first open economic zone (KTM) of the country. On September 27, 2002, the Politburo continued to issue Notice No. 79-TB / TW once again affirming the policy of Chu Lai OEZ. In order to concretize the Politburo's policy, on June 5, 2003, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 108/2003 / QD-TTg as the first legal basis to build Chu Lai OEZ. Immediately after its establishment, Quang Nam proceeded to formulate and approve planning projects; organize compensation, ground clearance and resettlement for people in the project area; implementation of investment in essential economic and social infrastructure works; organizing many activities to attract investment. From these specific jobs, clean land fund and basic infrastructure system have been met to meet the requirements of investment projects. Many domestic and foreign investors have come to Chu Lai OEZ and many of them have been successful here.
