Online Modular Training On Measures For The Management And Promotion Of Special Economic Zones

MI is inviting mid-level officials from Lancang-Mekong countries to attend the modular e-training course on “Measures for Management and Promotion of Special Economic Zones” from August 10 to 21, 2020 via Zoom application.

The 10-day online activity is designed to (a) update Special Economic Zone (SEZ)/Cross Border Economic Zone (CBEZ) development in the global and regional levels, (b) deepen understanding of how pandemics impact on trade and investment and identify measures to mitigate economic crises, (c) build capacities of government and private sector officials on issues related to SEZ management (e.g., strategies, policies, practices, institutional and governance issues, socioeconomic and environmental impacts, risk management), (d) exchange SEZ/CBEZ best practices with reference to the mitigation or management of pandemics, (e) promote learning and exchange among stakeholders on SEZs/CBEZs, and (f) share information of the EZ database (www.lmezs.com) to promote investments in Lancang-Mekong countries.
